The Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Texas A&M College of Dentistry provides well-balanced didactic and clinical instruction in the areas of: preventive; behavior guidance; hospital dentistry; and therapeutic oral health care for infants, children, adolescents and children with special healthcare needs.

The pediatric dentistry departmental faculty is involved in clinical and basic science research.
Clinical research
Interests include behavior management, sedation, clinical therapeutics and pulp therapy
Basic science research
Focus includes temporomandibular joint inflammation/pain, pulp therapy, and saliva sampling.
Educational research
Centers around the adult educational teaching model and testing with the use of the objective structured clinical exam (OSCE).
Other research
Interests include access to care and curriculum development
