Biography
Dr. Raghad Obeidat, BDS, MPH is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Dental Public Health Sciences at Texas A&M University School of Dentistry. She received her dental degree at the Faculty of Dentistry at Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan. She earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed the Dental Public Health Residency Program at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health.
Dr. Obeidat has mentored several dental public health research trainees and provided statistical analysis and presentation skills training. Currently, her responsibilities include clinical education within the school’s community-based clinical training program, participation in the organization and implementation of department outreach activities and initiatives; didactic teaching in undergraduate courses and residency program courses as well as participation in the scholarly initiatives of the department. Her research interest is maternal and child health especially oral health of special needs children and social determinants of oral health. She published in peer-reviewed journals and received the Leverett Graduate Student Merit Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dental Public Health (2021).
