Biography

Education and Post-Graduate Training

Dr. Poorya Jalali is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Endodontics at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry. Dr. Jalali received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) in 2008 from Iran, and he received his Certificate in Endodontics from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York in 2015. Dr. Jalali is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. 

His main research interests include segmentation and volume analysis, image-guided surgical endodontics, and clinical research with the aim of promoting evidence-based endodontics. He has numerous publications in various peer-reviewed dental journals, such as Journal of Endodontics, International Endodontic Journal, and Australian Endodontic Journal. Dr. Jalali is especially interested in building a collaborative connection with faculty in different areas of science. He is a member on the Journal of Endodontics Scientific Advisory Board and the AAE Research and Scientific Affairs Committee.

Dr. Jalali is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Education Association, and The Greater DFW Endodontic Society. His other interests besides dentistry include drawing and music.
